Vintage Sizing Guide
Items for sale here at Pie in the Sky Vintage Emporium are true vintage (unless stated otherwise), this means many of the sizes vary from modern sizing standards.
Although we do our best to ensure the 'best fit' sizes reflect the modern sizes we are familiar with here in the UK, we advise you check the full measurements provided on individual listings for the perfect fit.
Check out the table below to see what size section to shop for your body measurements!

Please note all measurements given on the listing pages are taken with the garment laid flat:
Chest - Measured from armpit to armpit
Waist - The narrowest part of the garment (we use the 'natural waist', the area of the garment that would sit below the ribcage and above the belly button)
Hip - Measured below the waist, at the point where the garment will wrap around the fullest part of the buttocks
Length - Full length of the garment. In tops, dresses and playsuits this will be from shoulder seam to hem, in trousers and skirts this is the measurement from hip/waist to hem
Inside leg - Measured from the garment crotch to the hem of the trouser/short cuff
Sleeve - Measured from shoulder seam to sleeve cuff
